As the companion digital video series to Bravo’s Emmy-Award Winning Reality Television series Top Chef, “Last Chance Kitchen” has expanded into a comprehensive digital interactive experience for fans via web and mobile platforms. Additionally, Bravo’s Now app, VOD and EST, required active input from the viewing audience, which in turn influenced and impacted events on Top Chef.  Each week, as Top Chef competitors were eliminated, they got a second chance to battle that week’s winner on this digital series. Fans interacted with the contestants and judges, and even got cooking themselves to determine which of the dismissed chefs would be the last one standing in the digital series and would have a chance to appear on the Top Chef finale. Fifty-two percent of Top Chef’s on-air audience engaged in “Last Chance Kitchen” and experienced the series in a collaborative way.

In a press release this morning, Lisa Hsia, EVP of Digital Media at Bravo said, “We are incredibly honored to be recognized by the Academy for bringing transmedia storytelling to a new level,” about the win. She went on to say, “With the help of our long-standing brand partner Toyota, Bravo is dedicated to innovation and pushing the TV experience beyond the second screen to create a 360-entertainment experience for our fans.”
